Hot Stone Fusion Massage

Hot stone fusion is a deep massage that uses warm basalt and sometimes cold marble stones to relax your muscles. Pioneered by Meghan Mari and Rachel Fairweather (co-founders of Jing Advanced Massage Therapy and training) hot stone fusion takes traditional hot stone massage one step further. Integrating the stone work with a blend of advanced techniques using hands, forearms or knuckles. The result is a unique seamless dance of stone and hands on massage. Indulge yourself in a full body luxurious treatment, or simply tell me where your pain or tightness is and let the heat from the stones do the work.

Hot Stone:

The stones are smooth basalt stones with a high iron content, they are formed from rapid cooling of basaltic lava which have been smoothed during many years by the river. It’s volcanic properties are what enables them to retain heat.

Hot stone treatments alternate warmth and cold - a technique which has proven beneficial to soothe an aching body. There's a method behind the madness of leaping from a toasty sauna into an icy pool, and hot stone massage uses the same principle.

Hot stone massage combines relaxing warmth and refreshing coolness to encourage the body to detox and heal. This also increases lymph flow and helps to flush out waste.

Heat relaxes your body in a short space of time, so your therapist can focus on a deep working of the tissues using both hot stones and hand strokes.

Hot stones also increase your sense of relaxation and calm.
